Liver Brownies

1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 lb Chicken liver, pureed

Optional:
Garlic Powder
extra corn meal
Dried Parsley Flakes

Prepare mix as directed for corn muffins, then add pureed/liquefied chicken liver to the batter before cooking, adding 5 - 10 minutes to baking time to be sure it's really done. Add garlic powder or granules (not garlic salt) if desired.

Cut like brownies.

Freezes well.

My Notes: For a double batch I will stretch it with about 2/3 cup corn meal, use about 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder, and about 1/4 cup Dried Parsley. I use a restaurant size Jelly Roll Pan and spray it with Pam. I bake 10 minutes longer than the corn muffin recipe, 35 minutes.

Homemade Frosty Paws

2 cups Plain Yogurt (2 parts)
1 cup Melted Smooth Peanut Butter (1 part)

Optional:
Honey

Mix together and pour into plastic portion cups* and freeze. As a change of pace you can throw in some Honey.

You can halve the amount of Peanut Butter and the dogs will still love them (I usually do 4 parts Yogurt to 1 part PB).

*I happen to have some of those plastic cups from individual portion apple-sauces (apx 3 oz size) - they're very tough and generally reusable once the dogs figure out they won't get more by chewing the cup to shreds. Takes them about 20 minutes to polish off a cup.
